The Innovation Classroom at WHS

A once traditional space at Westfield High School has been transformed into an Innovation Classroom with a digital presentation podium, LED lighting, laptops with computer aided design (CAD) capabilities, motorized window shades, retractable ceiling mounted power cords, furniture on wheels, and more.

Week of Respect in Westfield Public Schools

Westfield Public Schools observes the Week of Respect with many lessons and activities at each of the district's 10 schools. "Respect is something we practice daily in Westfield Public Schools. So we called this week the “Week of Extra Respect,” says Superintendent Dr. Margaret Dolan.

Butterflies at Tamaques

Tamaques 1st graders in Ms. Montes and Ms. Utman's classes had a fun first day surprise... Monarch butterflies, emerged from chrysalises in a classroom netted enclosure and ready for release. Principal Duelks and Superintendent Dolan also were on hand to watch the Monarchs take wing in all their bright orange and black splendor.

STEM Camp Celebrates 6th Successful Year

Whether building solar ovens, sewing circuits into fabric to create e-textiles or designing and programming robots, the Westfield Public School District’s STEM camp combined project-based learning, ingenuity and fun for a sixth summer.
