The Westfield Public School District has been named one of the “Best Communities for Music Education” in the nation for its outstanding commitment to music education.

Two Westfield elementary teams competed in the World Finals Tournament of the Odyssey of the Mind, an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students.

At its May 8 meeting, the Westfield Board of Education approved the appointment of Elizabeth Delasandro as Supervisor of K-12 Mathematics and Warren Hynes as Westfield High School Assistant Principal.

There was dancing in the Westfield Public School District as students held dance marathons and other events to raise money for charitable causes.

Fifth grade students and their family members recently attended Café Cultural, an annual event designed to showcase the elementary World Language program in Westfield Public Schools.
