Please contact me with any health concerns or questions that you may have. It is important to let me know if there are any changes in your child's health including new allergies, new medications, hospitalizations, or any other pertinent medical information. Open communication will ensure that health issues are addressed appropriately. By working together, I am confident that we can make this an exciting, safe and healthy school year for your child.
The flu season is upon us. Every year at this time, people of all ages are exposed to this virus.
In an attempt to limit the number of cases, the Westfield School community is being encouraged to take some important steps to limit the spread of this virus.
According to the CDC, prevention and treatment include vaccination, attempt to stay away from people who are sick, wash hands frequently with soap and water; if soap and water is not available use alcohol based hand rub, and consult with your physician regarding the recommended medications.
If you have an elevation in your temperature, stay home and only leave your house to get medical care. Before returning to work or school, your fever should be gone for 24 hours without fever reducing medications
